You're tired of the run-around. You took the online social media "course" to learn about outsmarting the algorithms and engagement shadowbans. You didn't make money. So you hired someone else to do it. You noticed a difference in your social media followings, but those followers didn't buy your product. You might be wondering if those followers are even real (it takes a 6 second search to tell whose followers are fake). So then you dropped the individual and opted for a full-force social media agency, which you didn't know was just a similar individual who learned how to package his service better.

Look. We get it. We see the "finesse." Most social media agencies are run by people who paid for 1 of 3 courses online (you can spot the teachings a mile away). Let us save you the heartache and spell it out for you. They're gonna get bots to artificially boost your following. Then they'll get more bots to boost your likes so that the engagement covers up your fake followers. Then they'll add your company to a Textgram thread so that the comments on your page somewhat match your content, yet it's still evidently fraud. Then they'll make you put aside a budget for influencer collaborations by using online mass-influencer agencies that embellish their users' engagement analytics and campaign value. After your 20th failed collaboration, your agency will start to panic out of fear that you'll abandon your contract, so they allow you to retain your social media budget and opt to trade PRODUCT for collaborations instead of money. Then after the 20th failed product collaboration you realize that maybe 6 people clicked the affiliate link, and out of those 6, one bought the item.

 

After a good three months of taking your money, they may start running Facebook ads for you in the same format they learned in the course I mentioned before. Their education comes from a 2015 course, so they'll run ads with 2015 guidelines. The only issue is that we're in 2020 and Facebook and Google ad campaigns have much tighter restrictions, and if you're unaware of the changes, you're likely to get your posts shadowbanned or significantly reduce exposure to your content. By then you're in fight or flight mode. You either drop the agency or try to work it out. Those who stay usually end up getting their accounts deleted or suspended for use of certain features. Those who leave typically end up signing with a new agency that ends up doing the same thing.
